Tell Us About The Great Design At Gypsy Rose
Our founder, Brittany Crooms, put this design together. She had the idea of doing a big mural on the outside of the building that symbolized what we represented and symbolized our brand which is the strong, independent, free spirited, trailblazing kind of woman that brought in and represented the connectivity of people and music.
We had an artist fly in from L.A. to do our mural for us. He also did a custom bar graphic for us with all these different iconic musicians. We had that put in as something a little different and special and unique.
Do You Take Reservations?
We have a VIP lounge area which can be reserved for parties of 15 or more. There you can do bottle service. We also have a small lounge, tables, high tops. They can all be reserved if you just call ahead.
What Kind Of Music Do You Book?
We've got a pretty broad spectrum. Anywhere from funk bands, to jam bands, southern rock, rock, bluegrass, we definitely do some reggae, blues, and we'll also do some singer/songwriter stuff occasionally. We mostly book original live music because we really want to help up-and-coming bands gain exposure. There are so many talented musicians in Atlanta that just need a place to get a start so we really want to help those up-and-coming musicians with that. We're moving toward, on Wednesday or Thursday night, having a show, an earlier show, which ends maybe at 9:30, then having sort of an industry jam night. So musicians and local industry people can come over after work bring their instrument and just jam.
What's the Capacity Of This Super Intimate Space?
Our maximum capacity is 188, that's including the deck outside, and right now we can seat about 65.
Tell us The Story Behind The Great Quote On The Wall
Once in a while you get shown the light
In the strangest of places if you look at it right
That quote comes from a Grateful Dead song, Scarlet Begonias. It's Brittany's favorite song. We grew up going to concerts together. We've been, pretty much, sisters since sophomore year of college. Pretty much all we did was go to concerts and theater all the time in Athens, and we share the same taste in music, for the most part, the same passion for music.

What Does Gypsy Rose Bring To Downtown Roswell?
We realized that this was something that was in demand in this area. We go to concerts a lot, and it's a 40 minute ride anywhere that you want to go see live music that's not just a bar with some background music. Other venues are 30 - 45 minute rides from Roswell. We just really wanted somewhere in this community. We love Roswell. This is kind of our stomping ground so to find a place that became available right in the heart of Downtown Roswell was perfect. The more we started talking to the community, and asking around, there was so much support, desire, and a need for a place like this. So we were like, "Alright! Let's do it!".
We really want to establish a place where musicians, whether they're bigger more well known national touring musicians, or local up-and-coming musicians, somewhere were everybody wants to come together and hang out. Somewhere where the musicians want to play here and hang out. It's a great place where they can connect under this one umbrella of music and that commonality.
How Can You Get Tickets?
You can buy them through our website, which you can connect to through Gypsy Rose Facebook Events. Also you can buy tickets at the door. The average ticket is between $10 and $25.
